Founder
Ellen Weaver Hines
Ellen Hines, a native of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is the founder and president of Purpose Design Ministry, a teaching and prayer ministry helping people grow closer to God, discover their identity in Christ, and walk confidently in their God-given purpose.
Ellen's own journey has been shaped by prayer, Scripture, and personal transformation. Through seasons of fear and uncertainty, she learned to renew her mind, replace fear with faith, and stand on the truth of God's Word, and she believes no season is wasted when surrendered to Him.
Ordained in 2006 at Refresh Life Ministries in Virginia, Ellen served as First Lady and led the church's Women's Ministry. In 2020, she founded a weekly prayer group that still meets every Thursday for Bible study and prayer. Her background in administration, organizational leadership, and mental health services shapes how she leads today with wisdom, compassion, and excellence.
Through this ministry, Ellen's desire is simple: that every person would know they are loved by God, created intentionally, and called to live a life that reflects His purpose.
Our Mission
Our mission is to unveil God’s intentional design for every individual by equipping them through biblical teaching, discipleship, prayer, and spiritual guidance, empowering them to walk boldly in their God-given calling.
Our Vision
We envision a community where identity is restored, purpose is revealed, and lives are transformed through alignment with God’s divine will.
What We Believe
We believe:
-
God created every life with purpose and intention
-
Identity is found in Christ, not in performance
-
Purpose is revealed through obedience and relationship with God
-
Transformation occurs when lives align with God’s Word
-
Spiritual growth is a lifelong journey walked in faith
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
Ephesians 2:10
